As players score more consecutive victories, the rewards gained from each match (typically currency or clothing for the character customization) will steadily increase. This single-player mode attempts to replicate the online multiplayer experience through ranked matches against computer opponents. Players that need more practice before competing against others or simply prefer single-player experiences will enjoy Tekken's Ghost Battle. Fight Lab is an invaluable addition for new players, but Tekken veterans are just as likely to enjoy the experience of creating their own fighter. Furthermore, each challenge focuses on teaching specific game mechanics, which helps players learn and practice the game's combat in an easily understandable and enjoyable fashion. The ability for players to essentially design their own unique moveset makes Fight Lab one of the most interesting and underrated modes in the series. Although recent entries have introduced many of the series' most controversial characters and storytelling decisions, Tekken players have stuck with its over-the-top plot lines thanks to its diverse and memorable cast of characters. Like most other fighting game series, Tekken has constantly relied on single-player content to deliver its long-running story.
